San Francisco’s Gavin Newsom, earnest if erstwhile candidate for California Governor, today filed his candidate statement for California Lieutenant Governor.
Don’t read too much into his decision to file a candidate’s statement because such filing need not mean he really will run for the position, he noted February 16.
Despite personal ambiguity, he can still reconvene his gubernatorial campaign amalgam smartly, Newsom finger-waved just yesterday, in case he really does decide to run when forced to make a decision by March 12 deadline.
His priorities in decision making are his wife, his baby, and his commitment to San Francisco, Newsom deadpans and means it.

Despite this mayor’s perspective that business drives prosperity and taxes for social programs, this man is willing to leave San Francisco one year before his mayoralty term ends.
Thus permitting the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to appoint a mayor less friendly to business, and enabling the Board to gerrymander supervisor Districts favoring that minority inclination.
The current Board has expanded suffocation of small business, while not insignificant Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi sneers the words ‘money’ and ‘profit’ as mun-eee and pro-fiit.
And clear as black and white, Newsom’s latest statewide campaign stems from interest in a new political post rather than interests of people, interests of San Francisco, interests of California.
Newsom has the people’s warm touch of an aardvark (“cell phones are everywhere”), raised from childhood to be a real somebody separate and apart from the flotsam, entitlement turned petulant when unacknowledged.

When his crucible became too much for him, Gavin Newsom took to the bottle.
And sulked, revealing himself unsuited to deal with crisis should his latest political post endeavor succeed and later raise Newsom to national power.

Donors risk relegating Newsom’s early accomplishments second to his unique personal development.
