“Dancing with the Drag Stars” – The world premiere of the most amazing live spinoff of the TV show “Dancing with the Stars” with a purely San Francisco twist. On August 8th at the fabulous Cheryl Burke Dance Grande Ballroom – dancing sensation Cheryl Burke returns to lead the judging panel alongside drag legend Heklina, Apple co-founder and “Dancing with the Stars” alumni Steve Wozniak, and 92.7’s Greg Sherrell to crown San Francisco’s very own alternative lifestyle ballroom champion! Sister Roma (of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) will act as scrutinizer to keep the judging panel righteous.

The competition is unstoppable for the coveted mirror ball trophy. Brace yourself for semifinalists Paju Munro with Michael Eric Koptke, Suppositori Spelling with Jeff Chandler, Garza with Jesús Ortiz, Charisma Glitterati with Jeremy Babagay and Suzan Revah (competing in the role of leader with pro dancer Heintje Soriano in drag as her partner), take to the floor under the watchful eye of San Francisco’s most glamorous hostess and “Queen of the Ballroom” Donna Sachet and co-host Patrik Gallineaux.

The world’s most fabulous vodka CIROC hosts an open bar all night long, and a dazzling roster of guest performers including recording artist Caroline Lund and the incredible Bebe Sweetbriar with her Ballroom Boyz as well as special performances by same sex ballroom sensations Chris Phan and José Comoda skyrocket this powerhouse night into the stratosphere.

Seán Martinfield, who also serves as Fine Arts Critic, is a native San Franciscan. He is a Theatre Arts Graduate from San Francisco State University, a professional singer, and well-known private vocal coach to Bay Area actors and singers of all ages and persuasions. His clients have appeared in Broadway National Tours including Wicked, Aïda, Miss Saigon, Rent, Bye Bye Birdie, in theatres and cabarets throughout the Bay Area, and are regularly featured in major City events including Diva Fest, Gay Pride, and Halloween In The Castro. As an Internet consultant in vocal development and audition preparation he has published thousands of responses to those seeking his advice concerning singing techniques, professional and academic auditions, and careers in the Performing Arts.
