SAN FRANCISCO WEEKEND TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT IMPACTS – JULY 25-26
25 July 2009The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) advises San Francisco residents and visitors of the following event-related traffic and service impacts this weekend, Saturday, July 25 – Sunday, July 26, 2009.
Event participants and fun seekers should check with sfmta.com or call 311 to find out which of the 80 Muni lines will get them where they want to go.
SF Marathon
On Sunday, July 26, the annual San Francisco Marathon will begin from The Embarcadero and Mission at 5:30 a.m., with staggered starts until 6:30 a.m. The race route will loop along The Embarcadero, through the Marina to the Golden Gate Bridge, south on Lincoln Boulevard, through Golden Gate Park and east to Third Street and The Embarcadero, behind the ballpark.
Various street closures will be required throughout the day and the City. A detailed list with suggested detours can be found at www.runsfm.com.
In addition to F Market, K Ingleside, T Third, L Taraval, M Ocean View, and N Judah , the following Muni bus lines will be affected:

Up Your Alley Fair
The Up Your Alley Street Fair, an adult-oriented event, will be held on Sunday, July 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The following street closures will be required from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday.
· Folsom Street from 9th Street to 11th Street
· 10th Street from Howard Street to Harrison Street
· Dore Street from Howard Street to Folsom Street
· Intersection: 10th Street and Folsom Street
The following Muni routes will be affected.
· 9 San Bruno
· 12 Folsom
· 19 Polk
· 27 Bryant
· 47 Van Ness
