U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents conducted an enforcement operation at a medical marijuana clinic in San Francisco this afternoon, a spokeswoman for the federal agency confirmed.
DEA Special Agent Casey McEnry said she was not able to comment on details of the case as it is under court seal.
The operation was carried out at Emmalyn’s California Cannabis Clinic, McEnry confirmed.
Anthony Williams, DEA special agent in charge, said in a prepared statement, “Based on our investigation we believe there are not only violations of federal law, but state law as well. As of now we are prohibited from releasing further details of the case. Items of evidentiary value were seized and no arrests have been made.”
McEnry said the operation was part of an ongoing investigation.
