The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) advises San Francisco residents and visitors of the following event-related transit and traffic impacts this weekend, Saturday, March 7 — Sunday, March 8, 2009.
Event participants and fun seekers should check with sfmta.com or call 311 to find out which of the 80 Muni lines and routes will get them where they want to go.
Islais Creek Bridge Construction
The Department of Public Works ( DPW ) will make repairs to the 3rd Street Islais Creek Bridge Saturday, March 7 from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and on Sunday, March 8 from 2:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m.
The construction will require the closure of 3rd Street between Marin Street and Cargo Way during this time. Traffic will be detoured.
The 91 Owl Muni route will be affected.
Start of Daylight Saving Time
On Sunday, March 8, daylight saving time will commence at 2:00 a.m., requiring clocks to be set forward one hour.
All Muni service will continue to operate on standard time through the end of Owl service. Muni schedules will adjust to daylight saving time with the start of regular service on Sunday.
