City Arts & Lectures Announces “NOW APPEARING AT THE NOURSE” 10 Programs at the Newly Restored Nourse Theatre

City Arts & Lectures is pleased to announce the line-up for “Now Appearing at The Nourse.” The ten programs include conversations with a range of guests – Michael Lewis, E.O Wilson, Fran Lebowitz, John Hodgman, David Simon, and Gloria Steinem among others – as well as a specially commissioned dance performance by ODC Dance Company. All programs take place at the newly restored Nourse Theatre, City Arts & Lectures’ new home.

Originally built in the 1920s, the Nourse sits just two blocks from the Herbst Theatre, City Arts’ home for the past thirty-two years. Beginning this Spring, the Herbst will be closed for building renovations. Inspired by that project, as well as the need for a new performance venue by many of the city’s cultural presenters, City Arts has completed a successful fundraising campaign to bring the Nourse back to life. When the 1600-seat hall reopens, it will feature state of the art sound by Meyer Sound Laboratories, new lighting, premium upholstered seats, and stunning original architectural details.

Currently, tickets for the programs are on sale to City Arts & Lectures members only. They will go on sale to the general public February 20.

All shows are 7:30pm. Tickets: $27/$30. Tickets and more info at
