Gothic Episcopal Church Embraces the 21st Century with New Solar Power Technology
THE GREENING OF SAN FRANCISCO
Grace Cathedral will receive a donation July 16 from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the installation of a new, state of the art solar photovoltaic (PV) power system.
A ceremony unveiling architectural design and sample solar panel will begin at 10:00 a.m. on The Great Steps of 13th century French Gothic-style cathedral.
Cathedral Dean Alan Jones will welcome Mayor Gavin Newsom; Nancy McFadden, PG&E Vice President for Public Affairs; and, San Francisco Public Utilities Commissioner David Hochschild, to the event located at 1100 California Street.
