Attention San Francisco Bay Area singers, dancers actors! Are you a “Triple Threat”? Then submit your video clips, upload your photos, and blog about why you deserve to “Be the One in SF” and more. Warm-up your vocal chops, get out your dancing shoes, and show the folks of SHORENSTEIN HAYS NEDERLANDER Productions why you should be “San Francisco’s Singular Sensation”. In fact, tell your performing buddies about it and create some on-line competition: E-Mail, SHN Sensation. The top 4 male and top 4 female Bay Area vote-getters will each be awarded a “Be the One” prize package that includes a pair of tickets to A CHORUS LINE at the Curran Theatre on July 24th, A Chorus Line cast recording, and $50 gift certificate for dinner. In addition, the eight “Be the One in SF” winners will be entered for a chance to win the “New York Broadway Experience” which includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, prime orchestra seats to Broadway shows, backstage tours, cast meet and greets, show merchandise and much more.

The Company of A CHORUS LINE

The original production of A CHORUS LINE opened at the Public Theater’s Newman Theatre on May 21st, 1975 and transferred to Broadway’s Shubert Theatre on July 25th, opening there on October 19th of that year. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Score and Book, and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. It ran for nearly 15 years, closing on April 28, 1990 after 6,137 performances.

Seán Martinfield is a native San Franciscan. He is a Theatre Arts Graduate from San Francisco State University, a professional singer, and well-known private vocal coach to Bay Area actors and singers of all ages and persuasions. His clients have appeared in Broadway National Tours including Wicked, Aïda, Miss Saigon, Rent, Bye Bye Birdie, in theatres and cabarets throughout the Bay Area, and are regularly featured in major City events including Diva Fest, Gay Pride, and Halloween In The Castro.
