Sweetest of life’s deeds was done at 4:13 p.m. Friday as veteran City Hall staffer Patti Carlise and longtime beau Jim Solomon were pronounced married at the epicenter of San Francisco’s heart.
Carlise serves San Franciscans in the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, with roots going back to successful election of Gavin Christopher Newsom as the 42nd Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco.
To officiate the ceremony, Carlise chose Seán Martinfield, a friend of years, in service to residents as volunteer in the Office of Supervisor Bevan Dufty.
Tom Crites, Mayor’s Office volunteer and 22-year life partner of Seán Martinfield, presented the bride to her bridesgroom to the strains of At Last by Etta James, performed by Sophie West who teaches at Young Performers International.

Some 200 family and friends attended with early gentle observation by Martinfield that he baked the Wedding Cake, too.

“I’m Seán Martinfield; I’m the deputy commissioner in the marriage department of City Hall,” Martinfield began the ceremony.
“It is my privilege to be able to do this today — I’m going to exercise my right to say a couple of things before we start.
“I’ve known Patti for a long time now, and we’ve been through many adventures, we’ve found many avenues in common, friends in common, adventures in common, and now have family in common.
“Now I am proud — I am proud — to be able to officiate at your ceremony today and I made the cake, okay?
“Friends and family, all as one, we are all witnesses here today and we are gathered here for the purpose of uniting in matrimony Jim and Patti,” Martinfield began.
“The contract of marriage is most solemn and is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully, seriously, with the deep realization of all of its oblivations and all of its responsibilities.
“Always remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy enduring home.
“No other human ties are more tender, no other vows more important than those you are able to pledge right now.”
“Jim, do you take Patti to be your lawful wedded wife, do you promise to love her, to comfort her, honor her and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better or for worse, to be faithful to her for so long as you both shall live?”
“I do,” Solomon pledged.
“Patti, do you take Jim to be your lawful wedded husband, do you promise to love him, to comfort him, to honor him, honor him, to keep him, in sickness andin health, for richer, for poorer, for better or for worse, to be faithful to him for so long as you both shall live?”
“I do,” Carlisle pledged.
The Wedding Bands were presented.
“I give you this ring in token and pledge of my constant faith and abiding love; with this ring I thee wed,” proclaimed Solomon.
“I give you this ring in token and pledge of my constant faith and abiding love; with this ring I thee wed,” proclaimed Carlise.
The couple addressed one another directly.
“I’ve had 23-years by myself with different kinds of experiences,” Carlise began.
“It took me a long time to find someone that I really liked and I’m so glad I found you.
“And I’m looking forward to our adventures together with my family, with my friends, and the things we’re going to do in the future together.”
Solomon in kind spoke of the love of his life.
“Patti, you are the love of my life,” Solmon proclaimed.
“You have been since the day I first saw you 26-years-ago.
“I loved you then and I love you now.
“I love you today and I will love you for the rest of my life.”
Martinfield proclaimed the deed done.
“Now that you’ve joined yourselves in matrimony, may you strive all your lives to meet this commitment with the same loyalty and devotion that you now possess,” stated Martinfield.
“By the virtue of the authority vest in me by the State of California as a deputy commission, and as your friend, I now pronounce you husband and wife.”

Songstress Hilda Chavez Schedler, left, performs You Send Me, accompanied
by Richard Herron who teaches at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School, and who
has known Patti Carlise for seven years since his students began singing annually
in the Rotunda of San Francisco City Hall
Ms. Carlise Solmon spoke to loved ones.
“It’s hard enough to work, and I finally get to be married at a place that I work at, though not for long — but I will always treasure each and every one of you,” her voice broke.
“Thank you so much for being here today.”

The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit almost any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. In these days of austerity along with relative anxiousness about incurring debt, many individuals balk contrary to the idea of making use of a credit card in order to make purchase of merchandise and also pay for any occasion, preferring, instead only to rely on a tried along with trusted way of making settlement – cash. However, if you have the cash on hand to make the purchase entirely, then, paradoxically, that is the best time to use the credit cards for several causes.

Thanks for your posting. What I want to point out is that when evaluating a good on-line electronics store, look for a internet site with total information on key elements such as the privacy statement, safety details, any payment guidelines, and other terms and policies. Always take time to look into the help as well as FAQ segments to get a far better idea of how a shop works, what they can perform for you, and the way you can make best use of the features.

One thing I want to say is car insurance canceling is a dreadful experience so if you’re doing the proper things being a driver you will not get one. Some people do obtain the notice that they are officially dropped by their own insurance company and several have to scramble to get supplemental insurance from a cancellation. Cheap auto insurance rates are generally hard to get after having a cancellation. Having the main reasons concerning the auto insurance canceling can help owners prevent losing one of the most significant privileges accessible. Thanks for the tips shared through your blog.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

I think that if we can pull out a win as banged up as we are, get two weeks to game plan and to be healthy, then we should be able to give the last several games a great run. Like I said, if we can get some rest and get healthy, 9-3 is a realistic goal.

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
October 11th, 2011 at 1:46 AM
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
October 11th, 2011 at 1:46 AM
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
October 11th, 2011 at 1:46 AM
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

Nearly all of whatever you say happens to be supprisingly precise and that makes me wonder why I hadn’t looked at this with this light before. Your piece really did turn the light on for me as far as this topic goes. Nonetheless at this time there is just one issue I am not too comfortable with and whilst I try to reconcile that with the actual central idea of the position, let me observe just what all the rest of the readers have to say.Well done.

Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. I mean, I dont want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something to maybe get peoples attention? Just like a video or a picture or two to get people excited about what youve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog come to life a little bit.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Hi! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with SEO? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good results. If you know of any please share. Thanks!

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually rarely do I encounter a weblog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you’ve gotten hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the difficulty is one thing that not enough individuals are speaking intelligently about. I’m very comfortable that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing regarding this.
