The cache of Moroccan paradise, brought to the swank San Francisco Four Seasons Hotel May 8 by preeminent major gala maestro Robert Fountain, will benefit Raphael House, the most agile residential service provider in town for mothers and children in distress.
Raphael House does not seek or accept federal, state, or municipal funding and relies solely on private sources to meet its annual budget. It is dedicated to helping at-risk children and their families achieve stable housing and financial independence, while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity.

Raphael House accepts no goverrnment funding to allow greater agility in crafting individualized support for distressed mothers and children

Coctails will begin lifting to Raphael House 36-year agility at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at the Four Seasons, 757 Market Street between Third and Fourth Streets, followed by 7:30 p.m. dinner and dancing to the tunes of Napata and the Kisses.
The gala includes a silent auction, followed by delectable cuisine and the live auction, including “celebrity chef” dinners.
A special drawing will send one lucky winner and a guest to any destination in Europe, courtesy of Lufthansa.
Proceeds from the black tie gala will constitute 20% of Raphael House annual budget.

In his youth, Pat Murphy worked as a General Assignment reporter for the Richmond Independent, the Berkeley Daily Gazette, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He served as Managing Editor of the St. Albans (Vermont) Daily Messenger at age 21. Murphy also launched ValPak couponing in San Francisco, as the company’s first San Francisco franchise owner.
